If you can’t find the discussion you need, browse all forums or let BiFiles know which topic or question is still missing.
Can I read the BiFiles Forum without an account?
Yes. Anyone can read public forum discussions without creating an account.
Feel free to browse quietly, explore different topics, and decide whether the community feels right for you before registering.
Create an account when you want to reply, subscribe to discussions, report content, or use other member features.
Who is the forum intended for?
The BiFiles Forum welcomes adults aged 18 and over.
The Forum serves bisexual, bi-curious, and questioning people, as well as respectful partners, friends, family members, and supporters who want to understand bisexual experiences.
You do not need to prove that you are “bi enough” to read or participate.
What can registered members do?
Registered members can reply to existing discussions, edit their own replies when forum permissions allow it, like helpful contributions, subscribe to discussions, receive relevant notifications, and report content that may break the Community Guidelines.
Members can contribute lived experiences, questions, different perspectives, respectful disagreement, and information that may help other visitors.
Why can’t members create new main topics?
BiFiles creates and maintains the main forum topics.
This approach keeps the forum organised, reduces duplicate discussions, makes recurring questions easier to find, and prevents spam, personal advertisements, or isolated topics with no clear context from dominating the forum.
BiFiles still encourages members to add their own experiences, questions, nuances, and perspectives within existing discussions.
The aim is not to control what people think. Instead, the structure helps visitors find and understand different voices.
What should I do if my question is not covered?
First, browse the forum categories or use the forum search to see whether a related discussion already exists.
If an important subject is still missing, reply to What Topic or Question Is Still Missing From BiFiles?.
A brief description of the missing subject is enough. You do not have to publish your full personal situation.
BiFiles may use the suggestion to create a broader main topic that can support several people with similar questions.
How do I create an account?
Open the forum menu and choose the login or registration option. Registration is free.
Provide a valid email address and complete the email-confirmation or password-setting process. Check your spam or junk folder if the message does not appear in your inbox.
BiFiles uses your email address for account administration, security, password resets, and notifications you choose to receive. The Forum does not display your email address publicly beside your replies.
Do I have to introduce myself?
No. You decide whether you want to introduce yourself.
Reading quietly, replying to another discussion first, or waiting until you feel more comfortable are all valid ways to begin.
When you do want to say hello, use Introduce Yourself — Welcome to the BiFiles Community.
A short hello is enough. There is no need to explain your full identity, relationship history, location, or reasons for joining.
Can I participate without using my real name?
Yes. Choose a username or display name that does not reveal your legal identity.
Your chosen name must not impersonate another person, mislead members about your authority, or contain abusive, explicit, discriminatory, deceptive, or promotional language.
What information becomes public?
Anyone can read the public forum. Visitors may see your username, display name, avatar, posting date, public profile information, and replies without creating an account.
Search engines may index public content. Third parties may also copy, quote, cache, archive, or capture public content in screenshots outside BiFiles’ control.
Because BiFiles discusses bisexual identity, relationships, coming out, health, community, and related experiences, information you voluntarily publish may reveal sensitive information about you.
The Forum does not display your email address, password, private support communication, private moderation reports, or other non-public account information publicly.

How can I protect my privacy?
Share only what feels reasonably safe. A feeling or situation can usually be discussed without identifying details.
Avoid publishing:
- your home address or precise real-time location;
- private phone numbers or email addresses;
- workplace details that could identify you unnecessarily;
- full names of partners, relatives, colleagues, or other people;
- private messages, photographs, or personal information belonging to someone else;
- information that could out another person without their permission;
- passwords, financial information, or account credentials.
Keep a reply general, change non-essential details, or explain that you do not want to share more.
Can I edit or remove a reply?
Members can edit their own replies when forum permissions allow it.
Deleting an account does not necessarily remove every reply that you previously published. BiFiles may keep replies under an anonymous or removed-user identity when retaining them is lawful and helps preserve the structure, meaning, and continuity of a discussion.
If a specific reply creates a privacy or safety concern, or you believe you have a legal right to deletion or restriction, contact support@bifiles.com and include the relevant discussion URL. BiFiles reviews these requests individually.
How do subscriptions and notifications work?
Members may choose to subscribe to a discussion or receive a notification when someone mentions their username.
You control your subscriptions. The Forum does not subscribe you automatically when you post. Some email subscriptions may require confirmation.
Manage forum subscriptions and notification preferences through your member profile. BiFiles may still send essential account, password, security, moderation, or email-confirmation messages when necessary.
What kind of replies are welcome?
Keep replies relevant, respectful, and in good faith.
You are welcome to:
- share part of your own experience;
- say that you relate to a question;
- offer a different perspective respectfully;
- ask a gentle follow-up question;
- thank someone for sharing;
- add useful context or a relevant resource;
- explain that your experience was different.
A reply does not need to be long or perfect. One short, thoughtful response can still help someone feel heard.
What is not allowed?
The Community Guidelines prohibit harassment, outing, threats, discrimination, spam, impersonation, unwanted sexual requests, personal advertisements, repeated solicitation, artificial activity, and sharing another person’s private information without permission.
Do not pressure someone to:
- prove that they are bisexual;
- accept or reject a particular label;
- come out before they feel safe;
- date, meet, explore, or continue private contact;
- share sexual or identifying details;
- ignore a personal boundary.
Do not use the main forum for hookups, dating advertisements, partner recruitment, or explicit sexual content.
How do I report a reply or member?
Use the report option attached to the relevant reply when you believe content may violate the Community Guidelines or Forum Terms.
For urgent privacy, safety, potentially illegal content, or account concerns, contact support@bifiles.com.
BiFiles handles reports as private moderation information. The person whose content you report does not receive your private contact details.
Submit reports honestly. A disagreement does not automatically amount to a rule violation, but everyone must keep disagreements respectful.
How is the forum moderated?
BiFiles may edit formatting, remove identifying information, move replies, restrict links, close discussions, remove content, or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, clarity, legal compliance, or enforcement of the Community Guidelines and Forum Terms.
Automated and AI-assisted tools may help with spam detection, flood control, suspicious links, abuse detection, safety review, moderation triage, or organising Forum content.
These tools support moderation rather than replacing human judgement. Important moderation decisions remain under human direction and review where appropriate.
Moderators may consider context, severity, repetition, risk, previous behaviour, intent, and the effect on other participants.

Who is Bibian?
Bibian is the transparent, AI-assisted guide and editorial voice of the BiFiles Network.
BiFiles does not present Bibian as a human community member with an invented personal history. Bibian does not claim lived experiences of coming out, dating, questioning, relationships, discrimination, or experiencing biphobia.
AI assistance may help BiFiles organise information, introduce and maintain forum topics, refine wording, compare or summarise recurring themes, identify content gaps, connect visitors with relevant resources, and support safety or moderation-related tasks.
Bibian does not become a substitute for the people sharing their own lived experiences in the Forum.
Human direction remains responsible for BiFiles’ values, community structure, publishing decisions, editorial standards, privacy decisions, and important moderation decisions.
Is forum information professional advice?
No. Forum replies reflect personal experiences, perspectives, and general information. They may contain mistakes or may not suit every person.
BiFiles does not provide emergency services, healthcare, counselling, legal services, or a substitute for qualified professional support.
Do not rely only on forum replies for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety, or other high-impact decisions.
If you or another person faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or crisis service.
Can I delete my account?
Use the available account-deletion option or contact BiFiles for assistance.
BiFiles may remove or anonymise personal profile information. Existing public replies may remain under an anonymous or removed-user identity when retaining them is lawful and reasonably helps preserve the structure and meaning of discussions.
You may separately ask BiFiles to review a specific reply if it creates a privacy or safety concern or if you believe applicable data-protection law gives you a right to deletion or restriction.
Account deletion cannot remove third-party search caches, archives, quotations, screenshots, or copies made outside BiFiles’ control.
