Sometimes one person can make you question something you thought you understood about yourself.
You might have always identified as straight, gay, or lesbian, then unexpectedly develop romantic or sexual feelings for someone who does not fit your usual pattern of attraction.
For some people, that experience becomes the beginning of recognizing a broader capacity for attraction. For others, it remains an unusual connection to one particular person.
Neither experience automatically determines your sexual orientation.
You do not need repeated crushes, relationships, or sexual experience before taking your feelings seriously. At the same time, one unexpected attraction does not require you to adopt a bisexual label or abandon an identity that still feels right.
Sometimes the hardest part is not the attraction itself, but wondering what it means for everything you believed about yourself before.
Have you ever experienced one unexpected crush that made you reconsider your sexuality?
Did it change how you understood your attraction, or did it feel more like a connection to one particular person?
You are welcome to share your experience without needing to choose a new label or reach a final conclusion.
