Can You Be Bisexual and Still Feel More Emotionally Connected to One Gender?

Bisexual attraction does not always feel balanced in the same way across genders.

You may feel sexually attracted to more than one gender, but notice that emotional closeness, romantic feelings, or the desire for a long-term relationship comes more easily with one gender than another.

That can create a different kind of doubt.

Some people start wondering whether this means they are “less bisexual,” whether one side of their attraction is more real, or whether they should use a different label altogether.

But attraction can have different layers. Sexual attraction, romantic attraction, emotional connection, comfort, fantasy, and relationship preferences do not always line up perfectly.

Have you ever felt clearly bisexual while also noticing a stronger emotional or romantic pull toward one gender?

Did that difference make you question your identity?

And over time, did you learn to accept the imbalance, understand it differently, or find that it changed?

Share only what feels comfortable. There is no requirement for bisexual attraction to look perfectly equal. 💜
