Did You Recognise Your Bisexuality Later in Life? What Made It Click?

Not everyone recognises their bisexuality when they are young.

Some people look back and realise the signs were there for years, but they did not have the language for them. Others assumed their attraction was a phase, admiration, curiosity, or something that did not “count” because most of their relationships had been with one gender.

Sometimes recognition comes much later — after a particular crush, a conversation, seeing someone else describe a familiar experience, or simply reaching a point where old explanations no longer fit.

Did you recognise or accept your bisexuality later in life?

What finally made it click for you?

Looking back, were there earlier feelings or experiences that make more sense now?

And did recognising it later bring relief, confusion, grief about lost time, excitement, or a mixture of all of those?

Share only what feels comfortable. There is no deadline for understanding your sexuality. 💜
