Have you ever had someone question your sexuality, dismiss your bisexual identity, or insist that another label would fit you better?
Sometimes it comes from people who assume you're straight or gay because of your current relationship. Other times, it happens within LGBTQ+ spaces, where someone may question whether you're really bisexual, suggest you're actually pansexual, or decide what your attractions are supposed to mean.
Even when these comments aren't intended to be hurtful, they can leave people feeling misunderstood or pressured to explain themselves.
For some, these experiences make them question their own identity. Others become more confident about the words they use, or decide that they don't need everyone else's agreement.
Have you experienced someone questioning, dismissing, or trying to redefine your sexual orientation?
How did you respond? Did it affect how comfortable you felt using your own label, or talking about your sexuality?
You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. There's no need to prove your identity here.
